3. Si ve un bordeado azul, quiere decir que debe ejecutar el comando en un Terminal ( Aplicaciones -> Accesorios -> Terminal)
4. Para evitar errores de escritura, copie y pegue los comandos a usar en en Terminal (click derecho en los comandos -> "Copiar" o "Pegar". También puede utilizar Ctrl+C para copiar y Shift+Insert para pegar
5. "sudo" significa "substitute user do". "sudo" le preguntará una contraseña, introduzca la contraseña de root o administrador. Por ejemplo, con "sudo" podría realizar acciones de otro usuario en su sesión ej. sudo -u juan <comando> correría un comando como el usuario juan en su sesión
6. Si desea más información acerca de cualquier comando, puede consultar la pagina del manual para éste con el comando "man", por ejemplo "man sudo" le mostrará información sobre el comando "sudo".
7. "aptitude" y "wget" necesitan una conexión a internet activa para instalar/actualizar/descargar programas.
8. Para descargar un archivo desde la Terminal, dé click derecho al vínculo (link) y seleccione "Save Link As...", luego en Terminal escriba "wget <pegar aquí dirección>" (sin acotaciones o comillas)
9. Si desea ayudar a traducir Ubuntu a su idioma o calaborar de alguna otra forma , visite https://launchpad.net/

Si está utilizando una versión de 64 bits, reemplace los "i386" con "amd64"

Cómo añadir repositorios extra

• Leer Notas Generales
• Puede añadir repositoris extra utilizando la aplicación Orígenes del Software que se puede encontrar en el menú Sistema -> Administración -> Orígenes del Software. Marque los repositorios que cree va a necesitar (main, universe, restricted, multiverse). Probablemente no va a necesitar el repositorio Código fuente. Ésta es la forma recomendada de añadir repositorios extra.
• Puede cambiar los repositorios desde el editor de texto, para este caso gedit:

• Cree un respaldo de su lista de fuentes(sources) actual

sudo cp -p /etc/apt/sources.list /etc/apt/sources.list_backup

'sudo' ejecuta el comando con privilegios de superusuario. cp es copiar. -p ordena :sobre-escribir el archivo si :éste ya existe

• Abrir el listado de fuentes en un editor de texto:

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Si lo anterior no funciona, puede probar un editor de texto en consola:

sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list

• Utilice las siguientes líneas como una guía en la edición de su sources.list, para activar cada repositorio, debe eliminar el '#" el pricipio de cada línea de repositorio.

Ej: # deb http://co.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ feisty-backports main restricted universe multiverse, le debe quitar el simbolo número del inicio para activarlo
